Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. formed a new real estate valuation firm called Partner Valuation Advisors that will be led by commercial real estate industry leaders. Brandon Nunnink and Eric Enloe will serve as co-founders and senior managing directors.

A federal judge has tossed out a “negligent misrepresentation” claim in a lawsuit filed by a Marin (California) City couple that claimed their home appraisal was lower than market value based on their race. The ruling issued by U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney stripped the suit of the claim against a San Rafael appraiser.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced the availability of $40 million in grants through its Healthy Homes Production Grant Program (HHP) to fix older housing, preserve affordable housing and improve the health of children and families.

CoreLogic recently released its Home Price Index (HPI) and HPI Forecast for July.

This new AVM model uses a state-of-the-art blended ensemble modeling approach to deliver an exceptional level of accuracy to lenders and financial services relating to real estate data.

Valuation Review caught up with CubiCasa President Jeff Allen, who shared his thoughts about the company’s new free floor plan option that helps all constituents of the homebuying process, from agents and photographers to homebuyers themselves, when it comes to the floor plan of a property.

CoreLogic’s monthly Loan Performance Insights (LPI) Report for June showed 2.9 percent of mortgages were delinquent.

Blue Sage Solutions, LLC, developers of the mortgage industry’s browser-based, end-to-end mortgage lending system, recently announced an integration with Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU). DCU achieved an 85 percent boost in loan productivity since implementing the Blue Sage Digital Lending Platform last year.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation (HR 7735) that will improve access to VA home loans.

The move was praised by the Mortgage Bankers Association as an “important first step” to modernizing the VA appraisal process.
