Attendees at the 19th annual National Settlement Services Summit (NS3) in St. Louis, Mo., June 6-8, will hear important business tips necessary for success from Ed Molitor, founder and CEO of The Molitor Group. He will appear on center stage as a 2023 NS3 keynote speaker.
As host of “The Athletics of Business,” a podcast inspiring professionals everywhere to achieve their maximum potential to grow their business, Molitor brings energy and passion to all that he does, insisting that presence is the best and only way one can catalyze change. The notion of “keep pushing,” especially when the road gets a little bumpy, can only lead to better opportunities with favorable results.
His NS3 address, “Creating a Different and Better Tomorrow Together,” will shine a light on how to deliberately create ideas both individually and collectively that will empower you to reframe, improve, and execute novel solutions as you evolve and prepare for change. Molitor hopes audience members will walk away with new ideas and strategies for collaborative innovation, which he said is key to successfully capitalizing on the relentless pace and range of change in the industry.
Molitor has developed his business and athletic skills over the past 29 years. From working as an NCAA basketball coach at Texas A&M, DePaul NIU, and Lewis University, to becoming the vice president of a national recruiting firm, Molitor has experienced the potentials and pitfalls of leadership at every level.
As the founder and CEO of The Molitor Group, he guides emerging and established leaders across biopharma and biotech to apply the proven lessons of coaching in their pursuit of inspiring and driving their team’s performance. Molitor seeks to empower individuals and their organizations to achieve victory through a focus on transformation, fundamentals, compassion, mental toughness, and vision.
One saying Molitor is rooted in is "self-awareness is the competitive advantage.”
“Knowing yourself is the first step in transforming into your best self,” Molitor said. “Positive transformation requires self-awareness on a level that most leaders don’t have without practicing it. Self-awareness allows us to know and understand our strengths and how to maximize them. It also helps us to acknowledge our ‘gaps’ or opportunities for improvement, which is a catalyst for growth.
“It helps us to be vulnerable, authentic, approachable, and coachable,” he added. “This facilitates a safe environment where people can have fierce dialogue that drives transformation, growth, cohesiveness, and support. It is key to perform at the highest level.”
A graduate from St. Ambrose University with a B.S. in business administration and a minor in economics, Molitor was a member of the school’s basketball team serving as the co-captain his senior year. Before St. Ambrose, he studied business at Creighton University where he played basketball, enabling him to earn 1989 Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament championship honors.
Molitor also played in the NCAA tournament, and the 1990 NIT tournament.
