Economics Partners, a Ryan company, increased its level of valuation expertise with the addition of Kevin Yeanoplos, who brings more than 40 years’ experience as a principal and director of valuation services, according to a press release.
Yeanoplos will join offices in Seattle and Tucson, Ariz., that specializes in business and intellectual property valuation, financial analysis, and litigation support. He brings his extensive experience to Economics Partners as an advanced technical advisor in support of professional service providers such as litigation attorneys, ESOP trustees, CPAs, trust and estate attorneys, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) advisors, etc. for the valuation needs of their clients.
“Yeanoplos brings a particularly strong background to valuation assignments involving legal disputes, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), gift and estate transactions, M&A, intangible assets, and more. He is accredited in business valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is also an accredited senior appraiser by the ASA,” the release stated.
“As we complete 2022, some of the key issues in advanced business valuation include situations such as economic impact modeling, valuation in rapidly changing markets, and valuations that may be disputed in legal proceedings (e.g., Elon Musk’s assertion in court that Twitter’s valuation during his purchase was artificially high due to inaccurate accounting for ‘bots’), as well as proper valuation of intellectual property and other intangible and emerging assets such as cryptocurrency,” the company stated in the release.
“As Economic Partners continues to expand, we are extremely gratified to bring Kevin’s leadership, mentorship and experience into the growing expertise of our team,” Trent Read, principal for Economics Partners’ Utah offices, said in the release. “Kevin is one of the leading valuation experts in the United States and brings tremendous depth to the most challenging valuation assignments we are increasingly being called to address.”
In addition to his role with Economics Partners, Yeanoplos will also continue to lead the valuation practice at Brueggeman and Johnson Yeanoplos, P.C.
