On Dec. 17, 2021, the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions, Real Estate Appraisal Division opened a rulemaking docket and published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the Arizona Administrative Register (27 A.A.R. 2923; 27 A.A.R. 2891). This proposed rulemaking amends the appraisal rules found in A.A.C. R4-46-101 through R4-46-601, according to a release from the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions.
The publication of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking also began a comment period which will be open until Jan. 16, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (MST). Parties who wish to submit a comment can send an e-mail to: [email protected]. Use “appraisal” in the subject line of the e-mail.
Public comments may also be sent to the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions, 100 N. 15th Ave., Suite 261, Phoenix, Ariz., 85007-2630 to the attention of Mary Kosinski.
Parties who wish to request an oral proceeding on the rulemaking, should send the request in the same manner as submitting a public comment. If an oral proceeding is requested, the department will schedule it at least 30 days after the request.
