WFG National Title Insurance Co. has appointed Neil Narut to the newly created position of vice president, regional underwriting counsel for its Central Region, the company announced.
The company said Narut will provide underwriting support to title agents in Illinois and Indiana, which will comprise the Central Region of WFG's Midwest Division. He also will partner with Kimberly O’Connor, vice president and Central Region underwriting counsel for the Great Lakes Division, which encompasses Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
“I can’t be more delighted to have Neil as a part our team,” Great Lakes Division Regional Manager Jacquie Brink said in a release. “Having spent time in various roles in our industry, including as a title agent, he brings a unique perspective that enhances the client relationship that we feel is the key to this role. His fun and outgoing personality is a great fit, and I foresee that anyone who may not know him will immediately feel comfortable with his underwriting style.”
WFG said Narut has provided legal counsel on matters of residential and commercial real estate and land title insurance to participating attorneys, their clients, title agents and local and national financial institutions for more than two decades. He most recently served as the senior underwriting counsel for a large title agency in the Chicago area.
“Neil brings a wealth of title knowledge and industry experience to WFG,” Midwest Region Vice President Stan Czaja said. “He is a consummate professional who puts you at ease the moment that you speak with him and has that unique ability to develop immediate relationships with his agents and clients.”
“With Neal's addition, WFG will be able to continue to deliver the highest level of underwriting services that we strive to provide to our agents,” Czaja added.
Narut said he has always strived to partner with title companies which maintained not only the highest underwriting standards, but also provided the highest levels of service.
“For almost 10 years now, I’ve been driven to provide these same standards and services as a title professional,” Narut said. “After getting to know WFG these last few years, I’ve found this is the type of company I would partner with as an attorney and I’m very thrilled to now be a part of their team.”
