Tyler Technologies, Inc., the country’s only national mass appraisal company, has signed an agreement with Monroe County in Pennsylvania for a countywide reassessment using Tyler’s CLT Appraisal Services and modern iasWorld property appraisal and tax administration software. The contract is valued at $6.4 million.
The agreement includes image collection, data collection, analysis and valuation of the more than 103,000 real estate parcels in the county and installation of the iasWorld software suite with functionality for computer-assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) and tax billing and collections.
Also included in the contract are several add-on features such as iasWorld Inquiry & Appeals to better manage the property appeals process; iasWorld Field Mobile for collecting and reviewing property data in the field; and iasWorld Public Access to provide data transparency to taxpayers, according to the news release.
The county needed to conduct a countywide reassessment while, at the same time, replace its legacy system with a contemporary appraisal and tax solution. The county chose Tyler for its successful track record of implementing and using iasWorld to capture process and maintain data and values during a reassessment. Tyler’s iasWorld solution is used to manage more than 42 percent of all parcels in Pennsylvania.
