Black Knight, Inc., a leading provider of integrated software, data and analytics to the mortgage and real estate industries, announced that the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) presented Contributor Awards to four Black Knight professionals at the organization’s recent Winter Summit in New Orleans. Awards were presented to Randy Gillis, data executive, servicing technologies; Andy Crisenbery, managing director, lending solutions; Cathy Clark, senior data consultant, servicing technologies; and Mark Kleingers, senior architect, lending solutions.
Founded in 1999, MISMO is the standards development body for the mortgage industry, and all members of the MISMO Board, Committees and Workgroups are volunteer contributors. The purpose of the MISMO Contributor Recognition Program is to recognize individuals whose contributions to MISMO and the industry are particularly notable.
Gillis received the 2017 Chairman’s Award. Selected by the MISMO Committee Chairs, the Chairman's Award recognizes individuals who have made long-time substantial contributions to MISMO that advanced the organization and/or standards forward in a significant way over a substantial period of time.
Crisenbery and Future State of the Standards Initiative (FSSI) Team won the 2017 Outstanding Contributor Award. The Outstanding Contributor Award recognizes individuals who made substantial contributions to the MISMO organization as a whole over the past year. As the MISMO organization quickly evolves, significant contributions to the organization are needed to position MISMO to serve the mortgage finance industry.
Individuals who receive this recognition are selected by MISMO staff members for their tireless dedication towards shaping and supporting the organization. Crisenbery was recognized for his individual contributions, as were Gillis and Kleingers for their efforts as members of MISMO’s FSSI team, the release said.
Under the FSSI, MISMO’s goals are to: prioritize efforts to address the most important industry needs first; provide additional products and documentation targeted toward business and domain experts; capture and present business knowledge, workflows and terminology in forms that are easily understood by non-technical individuals and adaptable to multiple technologies; and create a technical process that allows for the production of the MISMO standards in additional formats.
Clark was the recipient of the 2017 Standards Champion Award. Selected by the MISMO Residential Standards Governance Committee, the Standards Champion Award recognizes individuals who made the most substantial contributions towards advancing the MISMO standards during the previous calendar year.
“MISMO is pleased to recognize the outstanding contributions of these four Black Knight professionals,” said Rick Hill, vice president of MISMO and vice president of industry technology for the Mortgage Bankers Association. “We appreciate Randy, Andy, Cathy and Mark sharing their extensive mortgage knowledge to benefit the entire industry, and we look forward to their continued contributions to MISMO.”
“Black Knight is proud to contribute the insight and skills of these four outstanding professionals to help advance mortgage industry standards,” Black Knight President Joe Nackashi said. “We share MISMO’s commitment to establishing mortgage standards that reduce loan processing and consumer costs, increase transparency and improve the borrower experience.”
