The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) will conduct a free appraisal training session in San Juan, PR. The course is titled “FHA Appraiser Training and Underwriting the Appraisal” and will take place at the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s San Juan Field House from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 17, 2017, the FHA announced.
This free, on-site training covers FHA appraisal requirements, including FHA appraisal protocol and updates to FHA appraisal policy as outlined in FHA’s Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1.
This training will also take an in-depth look at a variety of appraisal-related topics including: property acceptability criteria; underwriting the appraisal; minimum property requirements; property defects; appraiser responsibilities and requirements; programs and products (e.g., 203[k]); and, much more.
This course is primarily for appraisers, but other industry professionals, including underwriters and processors will also benefit from attending. Registration is required by Friday, May 12, 2017. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Check-in begins 30 minutes before the beginning of the session.
