The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) will conduct a free appraisal training session in Santa Ana, Calif., on July 24. This training is intended primarily for seasoned FHA appraisers, appraisers new to the FHA Appraiser Roster, and those working toward appraiser licensing, the FHA announced.
The session, “Completing Today’s FHA Appraisal,” will be conducted at the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Santa Ana Homeownership Center’s 8th floor conference room from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time. Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.
This free, on-site, instructor-led training course will cover FHA appraisal requirements, including FHA appraisal protocol and updates to FHA appraisal policy. It is approved by the states of California, Nevada, and Oregon for seven hours of Continuing Education Units/Credits (CEUs) for licensed appraisers. Contact your respective state’s licensing board for credit eligibility.
Advance registration is required by July 19. The seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins are welcome but are not guaranteed admittance. This training is being held in a government building. Be advised that the on-site security screening is similar to airport security screening; allow extra time to go through the screening process. Attendees must provide a valid, government-issued photo ID and course registration confirmation at the guard station.
