Exceleras announced that Barry Owens has joined the company as vice president of business development. Owens has nearly 30 years of mortgage servicing and sales experience and a history of providing technology solutions that enable operators to perform at their peak, the company said in a press release.
“I’ve known Barry for many years and I’m very pleased that he agreed to join our team,” Exceleras President and CEO Michael Harris said in the release. “He has a history of creating and executing a variety of problem solving solutions and business practices while working with clients for both process flow improvement and revenue generation.
“His experience and understanding of the operations side of the business has been a key attribute for his success in the implementation of practical and prosperous solutions for his clients,” Harris added. “As we continue to grow our business, it’s important that we build out our business development team. Barry is the perfect person to lead that effort."
Owens has worked through several industry boom and bust cycles in a variety of roles ranging from default servicing operations manager at Integra Mortgage in Pittsburgh, to collection manager and technology help desk manager at Chase.
“I’m very proud to be representing the most intuitive, dependable and efficient property disposition platform in the mortgage industry,” Owens said. “My goal is to help every Exceleras client get their REO inventories brought to market and liquidated quickly and profitably.”
