Tiger Group announced that industry veteran Matthew Miller has joined the firm as senior director of appraisals. In his new role, Miller will manage the daily operations of the firm’s comprehensive consumer and industrial asset appraisal practice, directing annual valuations totaling $30 billion, Tiger Group announced in a press release.
Miller, a Boston native, brings nearly 20 years of experience in the field of inventory appraisals, most recently with Gordon Brothers Group, which he joined in 2005 as a project manager and went on to serve as a senior project manager/group leader, director of industrial inventory, and managing director-valuations.
“Matt is a tremendous addition to our already strong appraisal team,” Tiger Group Managing Director Ryan Davis said in the release. “His reputation for overseeing thorough, accurate valuations has earned him the respect of the asset-based lending and private equity communities.”
Miller, who steps into his new role, previously held by Davis, was an American Society of Appraisers’ accredited senior appraiser of machinery and technical specialties holding that accreditation since 2012.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the Tiger team,” Miller said. “Tiger represents the highest standards in the asset appraisal business, both in terms of service and accuracy. I expect great things from our group.”
Tiger Group provides asset valuation, advisory and disposition services to a broad range of retail, wholesale, industrial, intellectual property and accounts receivable clients maintaining offices in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston and Toronto.
