TSI Appraisal, a division of Title Source Inc., an independent provider of title insurance, property valuations and settlement services, announced that it will hold two continuing education training sessions for certified residential appraisers in the Boston area.
The Appraisal Qualification Board (AQB) mandatory Uniformed Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP) session will be held on July 29, and the Appraisal Best Practices session will be held on July 30. Each session will be begin at 8 a.m. and run through 4 p.m. EST at Hotel Marlowe, located at 25 Edwin H. Land Boulevard, Cambridge, MA 02141.
The AQB mandatory USPAP session will focus on changes in the newest version of USPAP for 2012 and 2013.The training will consist of case studies and scenario trainings.
The Appraisal Best Practices session will focus on best practices and the parallel between USPAP and Fannie Mae seller guidelines. Content will also include:
- Advisory opinions
- Neighborhood analysis
- Comparable sales selection
- Prior sales analysis
- Reconciliation development
- Working with appraisal management companies and clients
- The major issues that send appraisals back to the appraiser for revision
Each session requires a $35 deposit to reserve a seat, which will be reimbursed to the attendee upon completion of their registered course (no-shows will not be refunded).
