Tyler Technologies Inc. announced that it has signed a deal to provide services Calgary in Alberta, Canada, with the deal valued at $5.9 million.
Calgary will gain access to Tyler’s iasWorld CAMA computer-assisted mass appraisal software and its iasWorld Inquiry and Appeals tracking solution, and the deal includes software licenses, maintenance, support and implementation, the company announced.
“It was important for the ABU (Calgary’s assessment business unit) to find a modern assessment solution with the functionality to meet our demanding needs without requiring much customization, and iasWorld delivered what we wanted,” said Nelson Karpa, director of assessment, in a news release. “We also valued Tyler’s commitment to supporting the ABU’s vision of being a leading annual market value assessment jurisdiction, earning the respect and trust of our customers every day.”
“We look forward to helping the ABU meet its goal of creating more efficient processes, benefiting its staff, its customers, and other City departments,” added Mark Hawkins, senior vice president of software operations in Tyler’s Appraisal & Tax Division. “Calgary has entrusted Tyler in a very critical area, given that about half of the city’s total annual operating budget is funded by tax revenue from business and property taxes. It’s a responsibility Tyler takes seriously, and we will work hard to meet expectations of the city, its property owners and everyone who calls Calgary home.”
Tyler’s perpetual licensing approach provides regular and significant, yet manageable, software enhancements without an additional relicensing fee, ensuring all systems are the latest technology, the company stated.
