The Appraisal Foundation reminded potential candidates that applications for the Board of Trustees are due March 25.
Elected members of the BOT may include individuals from all appraisal disciplines, users of appraisal services, former appraiser regulators, academics, and business leaders.
Completed applications for board vacancies must be received by March 25. Please contact Board and Councils Program Manager Arika Cole at (202) 624.3072 or email her at [email protected] about the application process.
The reminder came in conjunction with International Women’s Day. Seven of the 21 board seats are held by women.
“The story of The Appraisal Foundation would not be complete without the chapter about the trailblazing women who have led, challenged and raised the bar for the appraisal profession,” TAF President Dave Bunton said in a release. “The fact that the majority of the Appraisal Foundation’s boards surpass the profession’s mean didn’t just happen. It is the result of our efforts to attract and promote women to leadership roles.”
“The Appraisal Foundation is committed to ensuring that the appraisal profession is open to all who seek to advance the public’s trust in valuations and appraisals,” Leila Dunbar, vice chair of TAF’s BOT said. “There are qualified appraisal professionals, many of whom are women, whose diverse set of skills would be a great addition to those now serving on The Appraisal Foundation’s Board of Trustees. The nomination process for board members is open, and I encourage everyone, female and male, to apply.”
