A la mode, a Florida-based developer of desktop, mobile and Web tools for the real estate and mortgage industries, announced Sept. 18 that it reached a preliminary agreement with DataMaster, a provider of MLS-sourced comparable data specifically structured for appraisers, to integrate its full range of appraisal form-filling systems with DataMaster’s data services.
A la mode’s form-filling products are used by more than half of all appraisers in the United States. DataMaster is available in 40 MLS markets nationwide, with expectations to be in 50 total markets by the end of the year.
DataMaster currently is integrated with a la mode’s legacy WinTOTAL system, and with this new agreement, also will be available in a la mode’s newer TOTAL 2013 form-filling platform.
“There’s no question that appraisers absolutely swear by the time-saving features of DataMaster’s comps service, and so we’re thrilled to have them partnering with us even more closely in Aurora and TOTAL 2013,” a la mode founder and Chairman Dave Biggers said. “With the added scrutiny the GSEs are now putting into every small detail of comps used in an appraisal report, even a small typo can be career-threatening for a residential appraiser. With DataMaster, manual rekeying is eliminated. It’s faster and more efficient, and it’s a virtually mandatory compliance tool at the same time. It doesn’t get better than that combination.”
DataMaster works seamlessly inside a la mode’s forms engines. It electronically transfers the data the appraiser selects, including MLS and public records data, directly into the comps grid. DataMaster also calculates Fannie Mae’s 1004 Market Conditions report and transfers that information directly into the appraisal form.
Additionally, DataMaster’s program creates 16 graphs to clearly communicate market trends and ensures GSE UAD compliance.
“We’ve partnered with a la mode for years, and are extremely happy to be able to support both their legacy Aurora system and their new TOTAL 2013 form-filler,” DataMaster founder and CEO Rick Lifferth said. “This creates expansion opportunities for both companies, not just in terms of additional clients, but in terms of creating entirely new data-driven analytics products. From a compliance, quality control, accuracy and efficiency standpoint, DataMaster is a game changer. With this expanded agreement, DataMaster will now be available to half of all the appraisers in the country who will be able to use it every day.”
