Pro Teck Valuation Services, a national provider of real estate appraisals, analytics and appraisal reviews, announced that its chief appraiser, Jeff Dickstein, has been appointed to serve on the Five Star Institute’s National Appraisal Congress (NAC).
The NAC is the newest Five Star Institute member organization, established as a vehicle to positively impact the residential valuation and appraisal industry.
The Five Star Institute, which is a communications and marketing company for the mortgage industry, announced the formation of the NAC in February to help serve the needs of appraisal professionals and companies by facilitating problem solving, policymaking, education and advocacy.
The NAC will serve as a collection of subject matter experts to foster collaboration in the appraisal industry.
“In this heightened regulatory and risk environment, it is important to have an open discussion regarding policies and best practices. I look forward to serving on Five Star’s National Appraisal Congress to engage with industry leaders and policymakers,” Dickstein said. “On behalf of Pro Teck, I am honored to be a part of the dialogue to address critical issues facing the appraisal industry.”
Jordan Petkovski, chief appraiser for TSI Appraisal, was named as chairman of the new committee earlier this year. Petkovski has worked in the residential appraisal industry in various senior positions for more than 15 years.
“Property appraisals are an important part of market valuations, and I'm looking forward to leading the NAC at a time in our industry where our profession is at the epicenter of stability and progress for housing and communities,” Petkovski said.
Ed Delgado, president and CEO of The Five Star Institute, believes the NAC can prove to be an invaluable resource for the mortgage community.
“Valuation providers are a point of focus for the industry, and the formation of the NAC is an important step forward for the appraisal community,” Delgado said.
