The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) announces the selection of LaVaughn Henry as its keynote speaker for the 2022 ASA International Conference (ASAIC22), Sept. 10-12 in Tampa, Fla., and virtually. Henry is a former senior economist for the Council of Economic Advisers in the Executive Office of the President (the White House), and the senior regional officer and vice president for the Federal Reserve Branch in Cincinnati.
Henry has delivered more than 375 speeches and presentations on the status and outlook of the nation’s economy, monetary policy, and the residential real estate market and has received multiple merit awards and recognition for outstanding service, the ASA stated.
His trending insights are derived in part from his research on various topics related to consumer finance, the housing market, and regional economics; as well as his diverse experience in both the private and public sectors, his activeness in the national economic and higher education communities; and his educational background with advanced degrees in economics from Harvard University.
ASAIC22 attendees from all appraisal disciplines around the world will benefit from Henry’s spotlight on key economic drivers and analysis of external factors impacting global markets, particularly as they intersect the valuation profession.
Takeaways will help provide clarity and better prepare attending valuers and their companies or clients on the many anticipated economic uncertainties ahead.
“Today, more than ever, appraisers need to be in touch with current and forecasted economic drivers, not only for their clients, but also to gain an edge over an ever-increasing competitive landscape,” ASA CEO Johnnie White said.
The ASAIC22 is celebrating its 85th year, will be available in a hybrid format featuring live and virtual programing, will feature 65 educational sessions across six discipline tracks and is supported by Valcre, Knowcraft Analytics, Suncorp Valuations, Borrowman Baker, LLC, FleetEvaluator, Business Valuation Resources, Mynarski International Valuation, Appraisal Institute, Tagnifi, Quantum Leap Software Solutions and Harry Davis & Co.
