Cushman & Wakefield recently hired Zach Bowyer to lead the company’s Valuation & Advisory (V&A) Residential Practice Group in the U.S., the company announced in a press release.
Bowyer, based in Boston, will collaborate with multifamily, co-live, subdivision, student housing and affordable housing V&A professionals to deliver Cushman & Wakefield’s entire spectrum of services and expertise to clients, the company said.
As both an executive leader and highly successful producer, he is a proven expert in asset classes including hotels, seniors housing, healthcare/life sciences, manufactured housing and self-storage. Bowyer began his career in valuation nearly 20 years ago and has completed $75 billion in valuation assignments throughout the U.S.
“Zach is a well-known and respected professional who brings a strategic mindset to our V&A practice,” Rick Cenkus, president of Valuation & Advisory, Americas at Cushman & Wakefield, said in the release. “At a time when traditional norms in housing are blurring and new options emerge, Zach’s leadership and vision will be invaluable to our growing team as we navigate these market shifts.”
Bowyer’s career in commercial real estate started in banking at First National Bank, and then he specialized in the appraisal of seniors housing with HealthTrust, LLC. He joined CBRE in 2012 to launch its seniors housing and healthcare specialty practice and joined JLL in 2019, where he served as head of Alternative Real Estate Sectors as a member of JLL’s Executive Committee for Valuation Advisory, as well as on the Global Steering Committee.
