The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) will conduct free appraisal training sessions in Denver on Nov. 6 and in Atlanta on Nov. 13. These sessions are targeted primarily to appraisers and underwriters; however, other industry professionals including processors, mortgage loan professionals, loan officers and property inspectors may also benefit from attending, the FHA announced.
The Denver session will be conducted in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Dakota Room from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MT. The Atlanta session will be held in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Five Points Plaza from 9 a.m. to 12 p.n. ET. Check-in begins 30 minutes before the start of both sessions.
Both sessions will cover a variety of topics including FHA appraisal requirements plus appraisal protocol and updates to FHA appraisal policy as outlined in FHA’s Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1.
Advanced registration for the Denver session is required by Nov. 4; seating is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to appraisers. Registrants must include their email address. For the Atlanta session, advanced registration is required by Nov. 12 with limited seating and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrants must include their email address, as well.
