NEXT Mortgage Events LLC, creator of NEXT, the first technology-centric conference for women executives in mortgage lending, announced a collaboration with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) allowing NEXT attendees to earn up to two points toward their CMB designations, the companies announced in a release.
The CMB was established by MBA in 1973, and has become recognized as the highest professional designation for the real estate finance industry.
Designations are offered in commercial and residential lending. According to MBA, more than 89 percent of CMB designees hold the title of vice president or higher, the release said.
“Executives leverage CMB designations to distinguish themselves as stand-out candidates for promotions and positions with other organizations,” NEXT Co-Founder Molly Dowdy said in the release. “NEXT was created to further the advancement of women executives in mortgage lending, and this is just one more way we’re doing that. We’re happy to partner with MBA to help our attendees move closer to their professional goals.”
NEXT will take place on Jan. 18-19, 2018 at the InterContinental Dallas.
