Battle intensifies over Louisiana C&R rules
|
Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards signed an Executive Order on July 11, 2017 that would require the Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Board to submit enforcement activity against AMCs over customary and reasonable fees, or proposed regulations on C&R fees, to the Division of Administrative Law or the Commission of Administration before enacting them. The action comes on the heels of the Federal Trade Commission filing a complaint against the LREAB over C&R fees and oversight.
