The Appraisal Foundation (TAF) is pleased to announce the following elections and appointments to the Board of Trustees and Appraisal Practices Board (APB), respectively. The elections and appointments occurred during the Foundation’s most recent Board of Trustees meeting on May 14, 2016 in Naples, Fla.
This year’s appointees bring a wealth of expertise and leadership experience to the Foundation, its Boards, and the appraisal profession. The following individuals were elected as At-Large members of the Board of Trustees for three-year terms beginning on Jan. 1, 2017:
The Foundation’s Boards work to preserve public trust in the valuation profession. The Board of Trustees oversees the work of the Foundation’s three independent Boards, which are responsible for setting the generally accepted standards of the appraisal profession in the United States; providing voluntary guidance to appraisers on emerging issues; and developing minimum qualifications for real estate appraisers as well as voluntary minimum qualifications for personal property appraisers, TAF said.
The Appraisal Practices Board is specifically responsible for developing voluntary guidance to appraisers in the form of Valuation Advisories.
The Appraisal Foundation “looks forward to working with these talented individuals in the years ahead.”
