The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced the promotion of one of its own to a key position. Tamara King has been promoted to the position of vice president of residential policy and member engagement, effective Jan. 1, 2016.
“Tamara is a valuable resource to MBA because of her deep understanding of real estate finance policy and her long-term relationships with our members. Her responsibilities with MBA’s various committees, including overseeing the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, make her an invaluable resource to our association and our industry,” MBA President and CEO David Stevens said in a press release.
King, who joined MBA in 2009, manages MBA’s residential loan production area, where she helps direct the association’s policy development on regulatory, legislative, and industry issues.
Additionally, King helps lead MBA’s engagement strategy with several key member segments. In this role, King oversees MBA’s Independent Mortgage Bankers Executive Council, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the Warehouse Lenders Executive Roundtable and other MBA networking groups.
