Arizona appraiser won’t take FHA assignments because of Handbook changes

The new Federal Housing Association (FHA) Handbook became effective Sept. 14. A lot of discussion has taken place as to the choice of words used within the handbook. For example, the word “should” was changed to “must” in many references throughout the handbook. Valuation Review reached out to Joanna Conde, a board member of the Arizona Association of Real Estate Appraisers (AARE), for an additional look at these requirements.
