In an effort to help promote the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and dispel common myths about the appraisal profession, Valuation Review is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with experts from The Appraisal Foundation to answer your appraisal-related questions in the pages of Valuation Review.
The Washington D.C.-based Appraisal Foundation, which is a leading authority on the valuation profession and sets the congressionally authorized standards and qualifications for real estate appraisers, will bring the same expert advice that it uses to develop USPAP guidance in a column titled “Appraisal Q&A.”
The column will be a regular addition to Valuation Review’s subscriber-only content, and will run both on the Valuation Review website and in the print publication. The section will allow readers to anonymously submit questions and get in-depth clarification on a diverse range of appraisal topics.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with The Appraisal Foundation,” said Adam Redling, editor of Valuation Review. “Having the Foundation’s experts on board to help clear up commonly misunderstood appraisal questions should be a big asset for both our readers and our publication as a whole.”
“We cannot overstate the importance of staying up-to-date on the latest USPAP developments, and that’s why we’re pleased to partner with Valuation Review,” said David Bunton, president of The Appraisal Foundation. “We hope this column will clear up any misunderstandings and help ensure appraisals are as independent, consistent and objective as possible.”
