The Appraisal Foundation, the nation’s foremost authority on the valuation profession, announced the 2015 officer and board appointments to the board of trustees, as well as appointments to the organization’s three independent boards. Appointees include individuals from the real estate, personal property and business valuation disciplines.
The work of The Appraisal Foundation’s independent boards ensures that the valuation profession adapts to changing circumstances and continues to move forward. Among other activities, these boards provide appraisers with professional standards so that their work remains thorough, up to date and accurate; offer voluntary guidance on recognized valuation methods and techniques to address timely valuation questions; and set minimum qualifications for real estate appraisers.
“The dedicated professionals who serve in our leadership and on our boards are the best and brightest in their fields and bring a wealth of experience and exceptional leadership skills,” The Appraisal Foundation President David Bunton said. “Their contributions are invaluable to the work of The Appraisal Foundation and the profession overall.”
