World Wide Land Transfer, Inc. added Cynthia Kern as underwriting counsel and operations strategist. Her retention strengthens WWLT’s New York City office as well as its national operations, according to a company announcement.
Kern most recently was vice president of one of the largest national title insurance agencies in the country, serving both as senior underwriting counsel and director of operations. As a senior member of the management team, she was responsible for the efficient and cost-effective performance of multiple departments and business services. She managed more than 100 employees and helped contribute to a 40 percent growth in that company’s revenue in each of the last three years. Kern also led the company’s Section 1031 tax-deferred exchange affiliate, which guided clients and taxpayers through various aspects of tax-deferred exchanges as defined and regulated under IRC §1031.
Kern, who in the past developed curriculum and routinely taught on the topics of 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, reverse mortgages and the New York Condominium Law, will continue to do so under WWLT’s Continuing Legal Education programming. She has been published in multiple print and online publications, and spoken on various topics at both legal conferences and on live national television.
Kern will be working primarily in WWLT’s New York City midtown Manhattan office led by its Executive Director of Operations, Jeffrey Lender, Esq. WWLT sees this move as one of many in its plan for continued growth and prominence in the title insurance and escrow service industry.
“I’m so excited to have joined World Wide Land Transfer,” Kern said. “WWLT is a dynamic, rapidly-expanding company with a dedicated focus on client service and technology, both of which are not only vital to this industry but personally appealing to me.”
WWLT President Marc Shaw said, “We are delighted to have Cynthia join our team and we are confident that Cynthia will contribute significantly to WWLT’s continued success.”
