Old Republic National Title Insurance Co. (ORNTIC) appointed Dana Grutchfield as vice president and national underwriting counsel. She will report to Wilhelmina Kightlinger, senior vice president and senior national underwriting counsel and work in the company’s national underwriting office in Tampa, Fla.
In her new role, Grutchfield will serve as a legal resource for corporate and field operations personnel with a primary focus on underwriting commercial title insurance risks of more than $25 million and provide legal and business advice to and on behalf of the company.
Prior to joining Old Republic Title, she was a partner in the real estate departments of Quarles & Brady LLP and DLA Piper US LLP, and the general counsel and vice president of business affairs for FrankCrum. She earned her master of business administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1985 and her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1994.
Grutchfield was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995 and is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is a member of the Florida Bar Section of Real Property Probate and Trust Law and the ABA Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section.
“Ms. Grutchfield’s impressive legal background and extensive national experience in the commercial area strengthens Old Republic Title’s services and resources dedicated to handling and closing commercial transactions,” Kightlinger said. “We are very excited to have Dana join the Old Republic Title team.”
Grutchfield has served as a member of the Go Red for Women Executive Cabinet for the American Cancer Society and has been involved with other charitable events in the Tampa Bay area, such as the Martinis and Matisse Fundraiser for the Clearwater Free Clinic and the FrankCrum Invitational Charity Golf Tournament.
