The second quarter financial results are in, and the title insurance industry — at least the Big Four — seem pleased with the numbers. Title revenue and orders were up for Fidelity, First American, Old Republic and Stewart. Reasons for the positive results ranged from refinance activity, commercial transactions, market share gains, diminishing claims and longer-term expense reduction initiatives.
