Alliant National Title Insurance Co. hired Lindsay R. Hall Harrison to the position of associate Florida underwriting counsel.
A licensed attorney and member of the Florida Bar, Harrison held the position of litigation attorney for one of Florida’s legacy law firms, specializing in residential mortgage foreclosure for the lending and servicing industry, before starting her own law firm. She worked closely with buyers, sellers and real estate professionals in both transactional and litigation matters and handled residential real estate closings and settlements as owner of her own title company, Alliant stated in a press release.
She also has served as in-house counsel for a major national mortgage lender, where she oversaw the implementation of the recent TRID conversion and worked to improve the settlement and post-closing services departments.
Harrison’s work has won recognition from multiple organizations. She is a nominee for the 2016 Distinguished Leader Award, presented by the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, where she is a board member. In 2015 she won the Florida Association for Women Lawyers’ Leaders in the Law award, after being nominated by her local chapter.
Harrison also is involved in nonprofit work and sits on the advisory board for A Gift for Music, an organization that provides free music lessons to Title I school-aged children. She also is a member of the Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys Counsel, and serves on the Florida Bar Senior Lawyers Technology Advisory Committee.
“I am very excited to join Alliant National because this company truly values the needs and concerns of the independent agent,” Harrison said. “They have made this their top priority, and it shows in everything they do. I am proud to be a part of a team that supports the continued independence and growth of the title industry while providing the highest level of service, education and integrity.”
