Simplifile has announced more eRecording jurisdictions in Connecticut, Georgia and North Carolina, providing land document submitters with a faster, more cost-effective recording method online, according to the announcement.
The towns of Putnam and Ridgefield in Conn., Dodge County, Ga., and Cleveland County, N.C., are the newest recording jurisdictions to join Simplifile’s eRecording network.
Title companies to banks, attorneys and lien filers, now can scan or upload and submit documents directly to these recording offices. In minutes, the documents are reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned back to the submitter electronically.
Recording fees and payments also can be processed securely through Simplifile, helping to reduce payment errors and eliminate check-writing expenses.
“Every year we have seen the rate of e-recording adoption grow throughout the country and 2015 was no exception,” Simplifile President Paul Clifford said. “We are happy to see these new counties on the East Coast adopt e-recording and to provide them and their customers with the best technology to simplify their day-to-day work.”
