Fortune Title Agency Inc., a full service title agency in New Jersey, appointed Nicole Plath as the new chief executive officer and majority owner. Her father, Nick Timpanaro, FTA’s founder and president, made the announcement.
Fortune Title recognized for excellence
Plath brings more than 10 years of experience in information systems, software development and management to her new role. She graduated from Villanova University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in management and a minor in information systems. She joined ADP and rose within the ranks to project manager. She completed her master’s degree in management of information systems at Stevens Institute of Technology in 2006.
Since joining FTA in 2008, Plath has transformed Fortune’s software and business processing systems. While serving as FTA’s vice president, Plath has been credited with the company’s ability to rebound from legislation that placed New Jersey’s foreclosure market in a cash flow freeze from late 2010 to early 2013.
“Right now we’re making an effort to grow our traditional insurance base, purchase and refinance products,” Plath said. “After the success we’ve had in NJ and Penn., we’re setting our sights on a wider arc.”
Plath has been leveraging the company’s reputation as a foreclosure specialty title agency and diversifying the company’s revenue streams. FTA has also become more involved with charities through its Fortune Cares project.
