Former National Settlement Services Summit (NS3) keynote speaker, Doug Smith just released his new book entitled "Happiness: The Art of Living with Peace, Confidence and Joy." After much research and study, Smith recounts his journey to better understand and practice the skills of happiness. All proceeds from the sales of the book will go towards The James Cancer Center or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Smith, a former business leader, wants to make a difference in the world by teaching, writing, advising and sharing what he has learned and by learning from others. He served as chief executive officer of Kraft General Foods Canada, chairman and chief executive officer of Borden Foods Corp. and chairman and chief executive officer of Best Brands Corp.
He’s a national motivational speaker working with businesses, conventions such as NS3, civic organizations, schools, law firms and private groups. He also teaches an undergraduate winter term course on happiness at DePauw University and frequently lectures at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Mass. and Tucson, Ariz.
Smith spoke at the 2012 NS3 in Cleveland, Ohio. This year’s summit will be held in New Orleans from June 9-11.
